Guest post: The language we use

For several years, I sent out a blog to readers a few times a week. These posts gave pointers about how to practice, shared relevant stories, and provided a way for people to connect with my coaching approach. In 2022, I wrote my book, Before You Say Anything, which brought many of these ideas together in one place. The blog posts have continued to resonate with clients and readers, and they're useful as a quick reminder, so I'm including them here!

A good friend, Stephen St. Amant, shares his thoughts and insight every day in his blog. Today marks his 1000th post (!!!) In celebration of this achievement and as a special treat, I wanted to spotlight a recent post of his.

There are different ways to speak about our challenges.

I suffer from
I struggle with

I fight against
I cope with
I deal with

I live with
I live through
I learn from
I sit with
I thrive despite

How do you talk about conditions in your life?

The language we use matters.
