Let’s All Slow Down Just a Bit

For several years, I sent out a blog to readers a few times a week. These posts gave pointers about how to practice, shared relevant stories, and provided a way for people to connect with my coaching approach. In 2022, I wrote my book, Before You Say Anything, which brought many of these ideas together in one place. The blog posts have continued to resonate with clients and readers, and they're useful as a quick reminder, so I'm including them here!

I don’t know about you, but 2022 has gotten off to a very busy, maybe a little overwhelming start. My typical response to having a ton do to is not, as my desktop photo would remind me, to “slow down since there is so much to do,” but instead to try to speed up to get it all in. (I’m a work in progress, y’all.)

In the video below, Ignite CSP coach Anne Thibault gives us all a technique to help us be better listeners and to slow down just a bit. As we all know in our calm moments, rushing to get it all done rarely leads to good outcomes, whereas slowing down a bit to approach the tasks calmly surely improves our experience of them!
