Things are getting real.

For several years, I sent out a blog to readers a few times a week. These posts gave pointers about how to practice, shared relevant stories, and provided a way for people to connect with my coaching approach. In 2022, I wrote my book, Before You Say Anything, which brought many of these ideas together in one place. The blog posts have continued to resonate with clients and readers, and they're useful as a quick reminder, so I'm including them here!

One thing I have loved about this time is the dropping away of artifice.

We’re seeing our colleagues’ homes and families and pets, our friends’ gray hair and their faces in the unflattering light of Zoom.

And most of all, I feel like I am really hearing what’s going on with people, even those I don’t know well. I haven’t heard a casual response to “how are you” since mid-March, and it’s amazing how even a couple of minutes of “here is how it really is with me” can start to create a bond.

We are looking for connection, searching for it, yearning for it.

What are you seeing and experiencing? What do you hope to take with you from this time, into the future?
